The Relationship Between COVID-19 Related Coagulopathy with Organ Damage and Prognosis

Objective: Coagulopathy and thromboembolic complications are frequently seen in COVID-19. We aimed to evaluate the relationship of coagulopathy with organ dysfunction mortality COVID-19.
 Methods: COVID-19 patients requiring intensive care for treatment follow-up were retrospectively analyzed. In definition coagulopathy, International Society on Thrombosis Hemostasis (ISTH) overt disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) scoring system was used. Patients divided into three groups according ISTH scores as follows; no (ISTH score 2) mechanical ventilation requirement, acute kidney injury (AKI), hepatic (AHI) rates compared between these groups.
 Results: One hundred fifty-five critically ill adult included study. An abnormal profile developed 94 (60.6%) patients; those, 56 (36.1%) had non-evident coagulation, 38 (24.5%) evident coagulation. While there a significant difference regarding development AKI, requirement ventilation, mortality, found AHI length stay unit. Both AKI increased correlation severity coagulopathy. risk factors both requirement.
 Conclusion: COVID-19-related determined by DIC system, is predictor damage mortality.
